In short: the public Player Fund Inc website (this page, the homepage, About, and Contact) sets no cookies at all — we run no analytics, no advertising pixels, and no third-party trackers. The private client portal uses one type of cookie/local storage, strictly necessary to keep you signed in, which cannot be turned off without logging you out.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser to remember information between visits. "Similar technologies" includes local storage, which some modern sign-in systems use instead of a traditional cookie for the same purpose.
What we actually use
Public website (home, about, contact)
No cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics scripts are set anywhere on the public marketing site. Nothing here requires a consent banner because nothing non-essential is being set.
Client portal (strictly necessary only)
If you sign in to the client portal, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores a session token in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in as you move between portal pages. This is strictly necessary to the portal functioning — without it, you would need to log in again on every page — and is exempt from consent under applicable law, though we're disclosing it here for transparency. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and it is cleared when you sign out.

If this changes
If we ever add analytics or advertising technology to this site, we will update this policy first, add the relevant cookie details to the table above, and where required by law, show a consent banner with equal-weight Accept/Reject options before anything non-essential is set.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time. Since the public site sets none, there is nothing to manage there; for the client portal, signing out clears the session data described above.
